Leo D Edwards - is a social worker, clinical therapist, lecturer, and course developer with more than ten years’ experience in the social service field. Leo received his Community Work Diploma from George Brown College, Bachelor in Social Work and professional certification in Anti-Racist Research and Practice (CARRP) from York University and Masters in Social Work from the University of Toronto. Leo is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Lancaster University, United Kingdom.
Leo’s primary areas of interest in social work include Health, Mental Health and Neurodevelopmental disability, Autism in particular. Such concern is evidenced by his involvement in the Adult Neurodevelopmental program at the Center for Addiction and Mental Health, and within his Ph.D. research explicitly exploring the intersection between culture and autism. Leo is also in private practice providing psychotherapy and counselling to individuals living with mental health and other life challenges.
