Why We Need A Community Of Practice (COP)
Professionals working within Black focused, lead and serving (B3) organizations often share a commitment to and concern for the wellbeing of the diverse Black communities in Toronto.
Concerning the nonprofit sector, it is concerning that grassroots and emerging B3 non-profits experience limitations to attract funding; scale core infrastructure; sustain long term programs/services, and facilitate leadership succession.
These happenings limit the fostering of a critical mass of community services, resources, cultural knowledge and networks needed to mitigate/prevent the issues that plague the Black community.
